Pre Service Training

Pre-service training for teacher education is a program that prepares student-teachers for the teaching profession. This program aids crucial learning and helps future teachers create a holistic learning environment for students. It provides skills, knowledge, and attitude to conduct classes efficiently. What is the purpose of pre-service training?

By exposing students to this approach, pre-service training offers the major advantage of preparing the trainees for the “world outside” and the tasks ahead since then, reducing the gap between the educational and outside settings.

DIETs is a premier teacher training institution at the district level teaching D.El.Ed courses. It is recognized as the hub of innovation in experimenting with innovative curriculum and pedagogy that gives substantial opportunities for practice-based learning to student-teachers through a back-and-forth movement between theory and the field through inbuilt field-based units of study in each theory course as well as specially designed practicum. In addition, it also provides an opportunity for a teaching internship at the end of each semester before course completion.

NAS SURVEY 2021

The National Achievement Survey (NAS)-2021 is a nationwide survey to assess the learning outcomes and health of the education system. It is the largest, nationwide, sample-based education survey conducted across India. The findings of the study will help to guide education policy, planning, and implementation at national, state, district, and classroom levels for improving the learning levels of children and bringing about qualitative improvements.

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy

Recognizing the importance of early learning, the National Education Policy 2020 states that “Our highest priority must be to achieve universal foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) in primary school and beyond by 2025

The basic aim of the national mission of FLN is to enable all children to read and respond with comprehension, independently write with understanding, and develop number sense, mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning. The focus is on the holistic development of the child.

Ek Prashikshu Ek Pravesh

Under this scheme, all BTC/Deled trainees will reach out, to out-of-school children in the age group of 6 to 14 years and get their admission to the nearest primary school every year. With this, more than 15 hundred out-of-school children of the district will be connected with the primary stream of education. The implication of this scheme is to enroll one-out-of-school child, then through this scheme, 1,514 out-of-school children will be connected to the basic stream of education, which will work in collaboration with the Basic Education Department and the School Chalo Abhiyan.
